A Midsummer Night’s Dream - The Globe Theatre
These are a collection of images from The Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2023 production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’, performed at The Globe Theatre. The costumes were designed by Takis. I worked on the cut and construction of many of these pieces.
These costumes required a lot of experimental processes, from the layering and slashing of the corset to the quilting of various trouser projects using padding, stuffing and rope.
Sanditon
On ‘Sanditon’ seasons 2 & 3, I was responsible for alterations, repairs, finishing on primary makes and later in the production, full makes as well. As a Jane Austen inspired series, these makes feature classic Regency Era fashion. Here are some examples of the items I worked on.
House of Flamenka - The Peacock Theatre
I had the pleasure of working on Arlene Philip’s ‘House of Flamenka’, showcasing a fusion of Flamenco and Contemporary dance. I worked as part of a large team on the men’s trousers, shorts and jackets.
Burnt Soul
Burnt Soul is a lycra-focused festival fashion company that I’ve been doing freelance work for since 2022. In May 2023 they designed and created the costumes for the popular TV show ‘Gladiators’. I was assisting with this and also with keeping up with their regular orders.
Jagprops
Jagprops is an independent props and costuming company that I have been freelancing for since 2022. With Jagprops I’ve contributed to a very broad spectrum of projects, requiring constant adaptation, innovation and problem-solving skills.
Other Projects
These pictures show work from a variety of different projects and collaborations. These include musicals such as ‘Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat’, walkabout performances, and pantomime.
